Vegas BABY!!!
So I HAD to go to Las Vegas for the IRS forums. What a shame! I was so looking forward to it. Bound and determined I would have a good time NO MATTER WHAT.
The flight was delayed 2 1/2 hours which sucked, time away from VEGAS you know. I had big plans to spend the whole day sight seeing. I tried to soak up everything I saw from the time I got off the plane until I could get out there myself and have a look… I was surprised by how small things looked to me. Of course, they weren’t, I just expected ridiculously huge and more. Not disappointed, just surprised.
After settling in the room and going to a great buffet at the hotel, my best friend and I walked the strip. It was amazing! The detail in the reproductions in and outside of these hotels were something else! The dancing fountains at the Bellagio were one of my favorite things to watch. (Probably my most favorite. Since I didn’t get to see all that I wanted - I guessed there were other things that would impress me more.)
My favorite casino was Bill’s Gambling Hall and Saloon. Decor was mid 1800s. Stained glass everywhere. Food was great (a bit pricey). They had $.99 Margaritas! Whoo hoo!!! We ate there twice. Gambled a bit there too.
I also loved the outside of the Venetian. Reminded me of a huge Opera House. The gondalas were floating about in front of it.
I would go back if I had to, like another convention… But I wouldn’t go back just to go there. There are too many other places that I want to see!
