BAD DOG!!!

This is a picture of what our lovely dog did to the dirt out back.  Out front she has dug two nice holes in the ground.  Happier than a pig in slop she is!

eeny, meeny, miny, moe

Election time can be confusing for most of us.  This is a huge decision that’ll affect our lives for the next 4-8 years.

Primaries are most difficult because we have to decide who to pick to vote for in the fall.  Presidential primaries are unfair because we have no idea who their Vice President will be until after the winner of the party is announced.

I would really like to know who Hillary or Obama plan to have as running mates so we’ll know who’ll actually be the president for their term after they’re assassinated.

Anyway, The Early Show had a few links the other morning.  One of them, The Electoral Compass, was pretty cool.  You answer a bunch of questions and they show you which candidate shares your views the most.

This other link was a bit of invasion of privacy, but pretty cool too!  It shows you who in your neighborhood, or anywhere donated to whom, how much and what they do for a living!

In the Motherhood

I came upon this site today by accident.

In the MotherHood

It’s hilarious!   It’s about Moms for Moms.   The stories are acted out by VERY talented women.  I just love Chelsea Handler!

What an unhealthy several days…

Wishing all of our loved ones a speedy recovery!

My sister in law, who is 7 months pregnant, was in 3 different hospitals for 4 of the past 5 days.  They first thought she had a blod clot on her lung (pulmonary embolism).  They released her, which was outragous, so she went to another hospital.  She was treated there and sent home. Today she went to a specialist after third trip to yet another hospital and was diagnosed and treated for severe bronchitis.  She is feeling a bit better, but what a bad weekend!

My bff is recuperating after back surgery as I write this.  What an ordeal she’s been through the last few weeks from the pain of her herniated disc.  My hope is she can recover fully and quickly.  And finally get some relief!

It’s painful when we have to sit back and watch while our loved ones suffer.  The feeling of helplessness is overwhelming.

What’s Your Energy Animal?

What’s Your Energy Animal?

Your Results:
You’re a Comely Crane
Although one animal is usually dominant, keep in mind that “we all have tendencies of all four animals,” says Hadady. Here are the typical characteristics of a Crane:

Face Shape: Narrow facial features.

Body type: Slender and willowy, or massive. Cranes always go to extremes and are always attractive.

Social style: You prefer to be alone and are drained by social activities.

Spirit: Proud and sensitive; often highly spiritual.

With others you are: Sneaky and secretive. You use your addictions as a barrier between yourself and others (i.e. leaving the dinner table for a smoking break, sneaking away from a card game for some ice cream).

Best traits: Dignified, courageous, dedicated.

Worst traits: Anxious, standoffish, secretive.

Celeb match: Marilyn Monroe. Despite her personal insecurities and poor health, she achieved worldwide fame.

Ideal job: No matter the profession, you strive for perfection. For example, you don’t want to be just a pianist; you want to be a renowned musician. Also, your beauty makes you an ideal fashion model.

Food cravings: Pizza, bread, pasta; dairy products, especially ice cream and cheese.

Worst eating habit: Harmful tendencies like yo-yo dieting or drug/alcohol abuse.

Ideal exercise: Yoga, which will help you stay mindful of your own body and give the solitude you need.

Weight loss goal: Eat balanced, nourishing foods and follow a regular eating schedule.
