Sadness
The loss of one’s Grandparent is a somewhat overwhelming feeling. Having lost my Gramma just a few short weeks ago I know the pain all too well. I miss her. I’ve missed her for a very long time. The grief I feel isn’t just for the loss of her life, but for the loss in ours.
I just got the sad news that my son’s Grammy passed away this afternoon. She suffered from Alzheimers these past few years, which is a devastating disease for family members.
Grammy raised my son’s dad and my son spent almost every weekend of his young life with her.
As a parent, I am feeling very helpless.
These were two great women who lived well into their 90s and had families that loved them and will miss them.
